KYAKA FM is a Private Radio station that was incorporated on the 18thof October 2016 and hit the airwaves on the 18th of DEC, 2022 We are part of the GRACELAND RURAL DEVELOPMENT COMPANY. It broadcasts on 96.4Fm at its Broadcast house in Kyaka south constituency, Kamutuumi village, Kyegegwa District.

KYAKA FM was set up as a community radio station to empowerthe Western Uganda population, through quality programs covering sectors like; Agriculture, Poverty Eradication, Gender, Health Education, and Entertainment, etc.,this makes it the only unique radio station in the region representing the common views of the community. PROGRAMMING KYAKA FM’s programming puts major emphasis on empowering the people of the Western Uganda region with quality programs in Agriculture development, Gender, Health, Education, Business, Poverty eradication, and entertainment. The majority of KYAKA FM’s programs are in local languages that are well understood like Runyankore, Rutooro, Runyoro, Rukiiga, Luganda and English. KYAKA FM’s listeners are treated with up-to-date accurate information through well-researched news. KYAKA FM is a fully registered member of IPSOS formerly SYNOVATE.
